In Chicago Shootings, 2 Killed and 6 Injured

In an incident of Chicago shootings, 2 killed and 6 injured in the West side area, including an attack in the Eisenhower Expressway.

Police said, the number of victims found are eight from the Chicago shootings.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the 1600 block of North Keystone Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood, around 7:45 p.m. The man was found on the street by police with gunshot injuries to the head and other areas of the body. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said, a man was killed and another was injured while riding a car from Interstate 290 in the Lawndale neighborhood, around 9:45 a.m.

The men, aged 21 and 23, were going in a car to the east in the 4500 block of West Lexington Street, suddenly a black SUV came alongside and someone from inside began shooting, hitting them in the head.

The 21-year-old man was sitting in the back seat, 23-year-old man was in the front passenger seat, police stated. However, the driver did not sustain any injuries and took the other men to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak park, police said.

23-year-old man was stabilized as he was transferred to Stroger hospital, and 21-year-old man was declared dead on arrival to hospital, the police said.

Other shootings in Chicago:

Police said, after 1:50 a.m on Tuesday, a 32-year-old man was shot in Chatham on South Side. In the 7700 block of South Indiana Avenue, someone started shooting at the man sitting in a parked car,and the man was hit twice in the back. He was taken to Stroger hospital in serious condition.

On the Far South Side, about 11:50 p.m Monday, a 27-year-old women was shot during an attempted robbery in Roseland, the police said. In the 200 block of West 111th place, the women was walking, when someone walked up and demanded money. As she said that she did not have money, the robber shot the women. She suffered gunshot injuries to both her legs and rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where the condition was stabilized.

In South Austin neighborhood, a 37- year-old man was shot around 11:40. As he sat in a parked car in the 700 block of North Long Avenue, two people have come up and started firing. The man suffered injury in his left arm and was sent to West Suburban Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.

About 3:10 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the 300 block of North Laramie Avenue, in the West Side’s Austin neighborhood. The teen was hit in buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said, a 24-year-old man was shot in the left leg in the 4500 block of South Vincennes Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood, around 11:15 a.m. on the South Side. The shots were fired from a passing van, when the man was getting into his car. The victim’s condition was stabilized, as he was taken to Stroger Hospital.
