A joint team that is headed by CBI officials has brought the underworld don Chhota Rajan to Delhi from Indonesia early in the morning to face trial in many criminal cases filed against the long-absconding gangster in Mumbai and Delhi. The 55-year old don kissed the ground on his arrival in Delhi. He was on run for nearly 27 years.

Rajan’s real name is Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje. Sleuths of many investigating agencies will question the gangster in the national capital. The questing may focus on his claims about having further more information related to India’s most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and his links with ISI, a snooping agency of Pakistan.

The son arrived Delhi in an Indian Air Force Gulfstream-III aircraft from Bali, Indonesia. He was immediately whisked to an unknown location amid tight security. Rajan is considered as friendly don for reportedly tipping Indian security agencies regarding the movements of Dawood and his aides.

The media was told in Bali by the gangster that he was happy to come back to his motherland. And denied the reports that he was facing threat from Dawood and so his arrest was orchestrated. Maharashtra government has announced before he reached India that all the cases would be handed over to CBI with high expertise.

Rajan will be in Delhi Police’s custody in special cell until all the formalities like CBI taking over cases from Maharashtra is completed.
