After listening to a batch of petitions filed by candidates, include students, the supreme Court of India under the bench of Justice RK Agarwal and Justic Amitava Roy squashed the All-India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) 2015, which held on May 3. The bench also asks CBSE for a retest within four weeks time. In this regard, SC requested all the Institutes involved in the test to co-operate with the CBSE to conduct the retest. Supreme Court’s verdict came after the allegations of large-scale irregularities in the examination, including leakage of answer keys.

Talking on the possibility of conducting the retest within four weeks, CBSE Public Relations officer (PRO) Rama Sharma told media that the board is discussing and deliberating the matter and will come out with an official reaction later in the day.

However, sources in CBSE said it would be very difficult to conduct the exam in four weeks time.

Reacting to the Supreme Court decision, AIPMT aspirant Divya Kasana of Hanimangarh (Rajasthan) said retest will be beneficial for all those who took the exam, since reports of alleged paper leak and cheating had created apprehension among them about the fairness of the test this year. Scores of AIPMT aspirants coaching in Kota want a re-test, she added.
