CM Devendra Fadnavis wants action taken against corrupt officials in this regards also wants to remove the officials working after completion of their work tenure.

The state govt will also work on to ask such reports and also want to punish who has not taken action on such employees and officials.

Case are being filled with officials who have been trapped by the by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking bribes. There are officials who are convicted by the court and still continuing the service because the concerned department has not taken action against them.

"Any government employee who is behind bars for more than 24 hours gets suspended from service, but pending inquiry, the employee gets reinstated after a certain period. Once he has been convicted in the case, he is immediately terminated from service. The responsibility lies with the department head.  The employee loses all his service benefits on termination after conviction," said an official.

Fadnavis has asked chief secretary Swadhin Kshatriya to take immediate action against such people.
