Sourav Ganguly has dismissed the reports of him joining the BJP saying he has declined the offer given to him by the party, according to Indian express.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing its room for next general elections in West Bengal by attracting strong leaders from the ruling TMC. In a surprising move news about former cricketer and cricket commentator Ganguly is also in talks with the top brass of BJP. Though the talks are still in preliminary stages, the supporters of BJP were confident that Ganguly would be the BJP’s new face in West Bengal. It is believed that the National President Amit Shah is negotiating for his joining; an update about this would out soon.

The talks about Dada’s political entry are not new, there were speculations before the state and national elections that he would join CPI(M) or TMC. Both the strong political groups convinced him for inducting into the parties. Before 2014 general elections BJP tried maximum for his nod, which was in search of powerful face, Bappi Lahari joined that time.

For next year’s general elections in West Bengal, BJP is paving path for popular leaders in the state who are not happy with the Left and Trinamool Congress. Earlier this month, Manjul Krishna Thakur, a cabinet minister in Mamata Banerjee's government, joined the Lotus Party while one of the founders of Trinamool Congress party and former Union Minister Dinesh Trivedi is also expected to join shortly.

Till official announce we need to wait for Dada's political entry.
