Google doodle pays tribute to legendary Bollywood singer Kishore Kumar on his 85th birth anniversary. The popular search engine has today paid tribute to India's Iconic singer Kishore Kumar with a google doodle.

Legendary singer-actor-director Kishore Kumar was born on August 4, 1929. For four decades he kept us entertained with his memorable singing.

Kishore Kumar was the voice of Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna. He was known as a yodeller for his vocal excellence. He was also a great comic actor. Fans of Kishor Kumar (fondly known as Kishorda) remember him for his eccentricities, and even for his multiple marriages.

Kishorda is fondly recalled for his garage-mechanic’s role and the popular song 'Ek ladki bheegi-bhaagisi' from the film "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi".

Kishore Kumar was not only a singer and actor, but also a songwriter, composer, filmmaker, editor and even a scriptwriter.

Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly, Kishore Kumar hailed from Khandwa, Central Provinces and Berar (now in Madhya Pradesh). When Kishore was merely a child, his brother Ashok Kumar was a leading Bollywood actor. Kishore also ventured into Hindi films with his brother's help. He attained success in films and music and went on to become a legend.

Kishore Kumar passed away on October 13, 1987.
