Do you have a 'filmi' name like Simran, Pooja or Rahul? You are lucky for Virgin Atlantic has offered discounts to Bollywood's popular 'filmi' monikers.

Virgin Atlantic will pay homage to Indian cinema by offering 5 % discount on Economy class tickets and a 10 per cent waiver on Premium Economy bookings on tickets for passengers with 'filmi' names.

The airlines' offer starts from March 18 to April 17 for travel plans scheduled till July 31.

Twelve names with the most famous film characters portrayed by Bollywood actors and actresses can fly cheap this summer. The names like Rahul, Simran, Karan, Kiran, Arjun, Tina, Priya, Rohit, Sonia, Vijay, Pooja and Anthony will get discounts on air tickts, said a Virgin Atlantic official.

The current discount scheme is part of 'Feel like a Star' campaign of the Richard Branson-owned airline. The carrier wants to convey innovative, hip and localised experience to Virgin Atlantic flyers.

Stephen King, General Manager of Virgin Atlantic, India, stated that the campaign hopes to connect to Bollywood lovers. Over 1,000 passengers holding these selected filmi names were able to avail the discount last year. And this summer, the airline is looking forward to flying many more passengers with names like Rahul, Sonia or Karan.
