Facebook 'Like' will soon be a passe! Google has found out a better, rather an avant-garde way, to like and share your favorite things across the web.

The king of innovation is back and how! The internet mogul has patented a never-before kind of a technology that will blow your mind away. Called as the “Hand gestures to signify what is important”, now users wearing Google Glasses can like and share their favorite brands, products, locations and everything they see by a simple hand gesture — by making a heart shape with their hands.

Apparently, the Google device will have a camera installed on the head-mounted device that will scan and identify the “liked item” and at once capture its details in a list of favorites that can then be shared.

Explaining the patent, Google says: “Hand gestures can be used to provide user input to a wearable computing device, and in particular to identify, signify, or otherwise indicate what may be considered or classified as important or worthy of attention or notice.”

'A wearable computing device, which could include a head-mounted display (HMD) and a video camera, may recognise known hand gestures and carry out particular actions in response.”

'Particular hand gestures could be used for selecting portions of a field of view of the HMD, and generating images from the selected portions.'

In simple terms, a user would frame any real-world object with a heart-shaped hand gesture and a built-in camera would scan the frame and 'like' the highlighted product or location.
