Good news for tech savvies as the Messaging App WhatsApp is now also available on Desktops. WhatsApp on system paves way for better typing and you can just sit in front of the system even in your office to communicate with your friends. The fast messaging app created buzz in gadget world, because of cost effectiveness and accessibility. 

WhatsApp is only available for the Google Chrome browser and soon the other versions will be out. "Today, for the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your Web browser," the company said via a blog post on January 21.

Go to https://web.whatsapp.com/ from your Google Chrome browser; Scan the QR code which you see over there to pair WhatsApp on your phone with WhatsApp web client.  But the mobile app should be always connected to internet for the web application to work. 

You will need to have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your phone and you have to run WhatsApp Web from the Chrome browser. Whatsapp is not available for ios Systems as Apple's platform limitations.

WhatsApp was created by Brian Acton and Jan Koum in 2009. In February 2013, WhatsApp reached 200 million active users. Next year, Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion - which is the largest purchase of a company backed by venture capitalists.

Now WhatsApp is having over 700 million active users sending over 30 billion messages in a day. Recently, WhatsApp also has announced plans to launch a voice-calling service.
