In an Eliminator match between SRH and Rajasthan Royals, the young player scored 97 runs in just 29 balls. His performance included five fours and an impressive 12 sixes. Even cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was moved by his innings and acknowledged the young talent's batting. "Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's bat swing has been exceptional. What stands out even more is his ability to skillfully move his front foot to make space for balls directed at his legs. This flexibility allows him to play in such a way. That innings was truly remarkable! " Sachin shared on X.
After the game, Sooryavanshi was asked about Sachin’s comments, and the young player described it as a "matter of pride. " "It feels great, sir. It gives me motivation. You just informed me about it; I didn’t even know. And as we all know, he is the God of Cricket. If he tweets something like this, it’s a big deal for us that a legend like him has mentioned us. So, it definitely is a matter of pride," Sooryavanshi expressed in a video shared on the IPL website. The all-round Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the IPL 2026 Eliminator match held in Mullanpur on Wednesday. In the second half of the game, Jofra Archer disrupted SRH's chase by taking out the team's top three batters—Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Ishan Kishan. Pat Cummins and the rest of the team could not bounce back from the early losses and were eventually all out for 196 in 19.2 overs.
