Despite the failure in semis, the combative Indian batsman Virat Kohli stood in fourht position and secured his place in the top 10 in the ICC ODI rankings 2015.

On the other hand Opener Shikhar Dhawan, who played some memorable innings, climbed to sixth position while Skipper MS Dhoni stepped down to eighth position, but still managed to be in top 10.

Another Opener Rohit Sharma is progressive with seven positions up and shared the 12th position with Aussie butcher Steven Smith and Pakistan Captain Misbah-ul-Haq.

Team Australia took home the World Cup and won USD 175,000 after finishing as the number-one ranked side on the April 1 cut-off date. India collected USD 75,000 for finishing second in the team rankings.

Coming to the bowlers, Australian speedster Mitchell Starc tops the list for the first time in his career with his captivating performance in the World Cup that also brought him the Man of the Series.

He along with his Kiwi counterpart Trent Boult has become the joint-leading wicket taker in the tournament with 22 wickets each.

Australian pacer James Faulkner and Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav finally got placed in the top 20 for the first time in their careers. Faulkner was adjudged as the player of the final, while Yadav took 15 wickets in the tournament.
