Gavaskar says Indian batsmen just give up matchesCricket

Former Cricketer Sunil Gavaskar responded on the worst performance of Indian batting department the tri-series with Australia and England. He termed our batsmen as 'escapist' following a three wicket loss to England.

After India's humiliating defeat against England, Gavaskar told most of the batsmen were 'content in staying at the other end or playing rash shots and getting out', News.com.au reported.

The legendry cricketer Sunil Gavaskar further said that most of the Indian batsmen behaved as if they 'just wanted to give up', while saying the Cricket was an extraordinary play. He said that cricket was not about giving up, it was about 'putting up a fight', the report added.

Indian team has not won even one match during the Australia tour; will the defending champions do better this time? The question is being raised by the Cricket world. Our team completely failed in showing team spirit and team work, despite good batting from Kohli, Vijay, and Rahul.

During tri-series matches also Indian team nowhere proved to be a world champions. However many sports analysts are saying that Kohli, Dhawan and Rohit Sharma can do well if they are consistent and India can fight back on the same pitches.
