Making a debut in B – Town she soon has shed the recognition of Veteran Actor Kamal Hassan's daughter and in all the languages she is acting, made her own identity as Shruthi Hassan. And to achieve all this, it did not even take much of a time to this Actress. As of now, Shruthi is enjoying the success of her Trilingual flick, '7th Sense' with which this actress made her debut in Tamil Film Industry. Andhrawishesh met this actress, who was rushing to attend one of the promotional event in regard to '7th Sense'.

About 7th Sense

I suppose it is not necessary for me to talk anything about the film, the audience response at the theaters itself tells you how successful the movie is. I am proud to be a part of such a prestigious project. The entire credit goes to Hero of the film, Suriya and most imaginative and creative Director Murugadoss who can make a film with never before thought story, and has guts to entertain, convince the audience with his film. '7th Sense' is such a film that has got so many variations in it, it entertains you at the same time makes you think and over all, it is the 'Diwali' feast for the audience.

About her role in the film

I play a young scientist in this flick. Now, if I say scientist, this definitely does not mean that I have played some offbeat role that has only to do with the performance. You can find me entertaining the audience with the chemistry I and Suriya share, in the songs and in the overall film. '7th Sense' being my debut film in Tamil, and this flick being declared a block buster success in all the languages released, I am overwhelmed and hope my career takes positive turns like it has been all these years. Moreover, the film makers of '7th Sense' are planning to release the flick in Hollywood too, I am excited and waiting for this.

Working with Suriya

He is such a Proper Actor, with no ego of being 10 years old in this industry and being one of the most wanted heroes of entire South film industry today. he is only concerned about the film he is doing, aspires the entire sequence or shot to be perfect and takes care of  other artists performance along with his, in order to the sequence to come out as the best. He is a very down to earth person; extremely good at heart and the same shows off ones you start working with him. Instead, he used to at times tease me saying that he is afraid of acting with me when it comes to romantic sequences, as I am a daughter of senior most Actor Kamal Hassan. I am happy to work with a co – star like Suriya.

Favorite song

This is the magic of Harris Jayraj music. Every track in the album composed by him would be the best and it is very difficult for you to pick any one and say, 'Yes, this is the best'. He has given an extra ordinary music to '7th Sense'. And right now I am humming 'Yelelemma'. As I being a play back singer too I have sung some tunes for this film as well.
