This compliment can be interpreted wrongly as it has a double meaning. It can be taken as you look pretty only when you smile. Does it mean your girl doesn't look pretty when she is not smiling. Will she have to smile the whole day to look pretty. Avoid such compliments and make her laugh with your witty quotient.

Looking healthy

On the surface 'You look healthy' is an innocent compliment, but it can be interpreted as 'you look fat.' Most probably you may have meant you look alive with good health (glowing skin). But women being women will hear it as 'fat'. Avoid such compliment to your girlfriend or partner. Women are sensitive when it comes to anything related to their weight.

You are different

Another tricky compliment. She may be happy with this compliment initially, but may soon interpret it differently. It could be taken as you are a sensible girl and rest of the womenfolk are stupid. No woman will be happy to hear such things being said about her gender for long.

Too smart for a girl

Compliments like this will definitely annoy her. What does this compliment mean? You are definitely questioning the intelligence of women. Remember there are lady doctor, lawyers, scientists and other professions that women have excelled in. This is definitely a sexist comment and not a compliment. You could be dumped for this compliment, never utter it.
