The modern day works pushing staff to sit continuously in front of the desktop or the machine at office and some racing staff continue their work at homes too! There is no mistake in working for the firm which feeds us, but we should think of our health in future. According to recent surveys continuous sitting degrades the life span through heart attacks, joints disorders and other neuro problems.
However people have been getting up and moving their bodies to get relief from the numbness and pains, which is not so effective in helping the persons as the small movements cannot restore the fitness, so the scientists at the University Of Utah Health Sciences suggested two minutes of walking each hour to routine can help well and also adds the time to our lives.
Most of the studies came across the problems arising due to extended hours of sitting, which includes the death from heart disease, diabetes, stress, impaired strength. They also revealed that 80 percent of Americans fell short of the recommended exercise (2.5 hours of moderate exercise every week), it is also mentioned that mere standing up and body shaking won’t work out well as compared to walking.
Lead author Srinivasan Beddhu mentioned that the results of walking were good and short walks and light activities use energy, and concluded that based on these results they would recommend adding two minutes of walking each hour in combination with normal activities, which should include 2.5 hours of moderate exercise each week. Moderate exercise strengthens the heart, muscles, and bones and confers health benefits that low and light activities can't.
The report of the study, which appeared in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology mentioned about the need of physical movements and burning calories. It will be good if you stop work to start walking for short time, which also gives freshness to your mind and gives enhanced energy to work.
