Most women unknowingly commit certain beauty mistakes. From over applying hair conditioners to applying makeup in haste, these beauty mistakes leave you with skin and hair damage. Read on to know the common beauty mistakes made by most women.
Washing hair daily
Some people believe that washing hair every day keeps them in optimum condition. But it is wrong to shampoo your hair everyday as it strips your locks of their natural oils. So you actually harm your hair by washing them each day.
Clean your hair brushes
We all know the importance of cleaning the brushes regularly, but this is one task that most of us ignore. Failure to clean your brushes regularly will lead to bacteria build up. So make it a point to clean your brushes at least once in a week.
Conditioning hair
Conditioner is meant only for the hair and not the scalp. Some people erroneously apply conditioner over hair and scalp. Instead of benefiting hair this harms your hair by clogging scalp pores. Apply conditioner only from mid-length to the tips.
Use hair protector before styling
Apply a hair protector before using hairdryers and straighteners. Blowing hot air into your hair without any shield will make your hair dry and fizzy.
Pay attention to your neck as well
Your daily skin care routine should include face as well as neck. Don't stop at the chin when you cleanse and moisturise your face. The delicate skin on your neck needs to be taken care of along with your face.
Apply makeup patiently
Be patient while applying makeup. When you prep your skin with moisturiser wait for some time before applying foundation. The makeup procedure requires patience to give good result. If you hurry, the makeup will thin up due to the creaminess of your moisturiser. This will give you a streaky look.
Plucking eyebrows
Don't go too close to the mirror while plucking your eyebrows. That way you will be looking at individual hair instead of the overall eyebrows. This can result in thin and uneven eyebrows. It would be best to use a large mirror and while plucking eyebrows steps back so that you get to see your whole face and not just the eyebrows.
