Designed by Taipei duo Rika Lin and Chay Su, their bags look like they have been picked from Disney cartoon world. Carry one of these on the streets and you will find people making a double check on your stylish bag.
Rika and Chay wanted to create quirky bags and came up with these accessories. These bags look bold, are colourful with 2D drawings and seem to have come alive.
The Taipei duo came up with the idea of these dream designer bag while making sketches with their friends one afternoon. Rika and Chay wanted to explore the possibility of bringing to life two-dimensional hand-drawn illustration into real bags. They started working on the idea and the results were these amazing bags.
Eventually, after lots of hard work, the 'Jump From Paper' brand was born. The Taipei bag designers say that they love to confuse people. But more than that they are happy to see people burst out into laughter, when they realize that the bags are real.
The main intension of Chay and Rika is to take fashion out of the proverbial box. The girls get inspiration for their designer bags from their own life, where they love to collect funny and weird stuff.
The 'Jump From Paper' brand started on a small scale in 2010. Today they are a big hit with the brand's presence in more than 25 countries all over the world.
The brand has handbags, cross body bags, shoulder bags, backpacks, purses and laptop and ipad bags as well. The bags sell at a cost of 30 Euros for a purse and might go up to 150 Euros for the larger bags.
Their collections have been creatively named, which include Wanderlust and Time Machine. Time Machine is a limited edition series all inspired from the 1950s. Bags from this collection include the spotty Ballerina as well as the red, white and blue striped Swing-Swing.
And men need not feel left-out this time. For there is the Wanderlust manbag available to the fashion conscious.
Chay and Rika are guided by the ethos of being 'colorful, quirky and full of humor'. They want to make people laugh with their wild imaginations.
