India Association of Phoenix is setting stage for a big event in Arizona on 1 November 2015, named Discover India 2015. The event is designed to touch various forms of Indian art like classical music, folk dances, and regional dances and so on. It is definite rejoice for classical dance lovers as there would be varied classical dance performances by different and popular dance schools in the US. Audience will get to relish many traditional dances like, Odissi, Kathak, Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyatrum.

Classical dance from Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society at Discover India 2015 event

The Classical dance piece from Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society has been created with the music from The Pirates of the Carribean depicting the Kalinga Narthana Episode of Lord Krishna’s Life. This piece was choreographed as a Solo Item by Shyla for Discover India 2015 organized by India Association of Phoenix. Song title would be the Pirates of the Carribean and the participants would include Vaishalini Sitaraman, Samantha Kamath, Sneha, Suchita, and Srija Desai.

Classical dance from Kala Kendra Kathak School at Discover India 2015 event

Kathak Dance would be performed on Ganesh song titled Ganesh Vandana by members of Kala Kendra Kathak School at Discover India 2015 event. The participants include Surabhi Sajith, Jahnavi Nair, Siya Khemka, Prisha Khemka, Rhea, Prisha Shroff, Soumya Parikh, Mihira, Shivika agrawal, and Janhavi Mehta. This Kathak Dance format would facilitate classical dances lovers to experience the bliss of kathak, an Indian Classical dance form.

Parma School of Odissi Dance performance at Discover India 2015 event

There would also be an Odissi Classical dance item at Discover India 2015 event by Parma School of Odissi Dance. It is a purely abstract pallavi, which means bringing the swaras or notes to life in the music. The performance would be on the song titled Vasant Pallavi. The partipants would include Astha Nainesh Dedakiya, Ameya Kartha, Swati Menon, Nitya, Adarshini Patnaik, and Asmita Budruk.

Discover India 2015 also features several other special Indian Arts including entertainment. It is a ‘not to miss’ event for Indian Diaspora, organized by the India Association of Phoenix.
