Jammu and Kashmir man arrested by FBI for sex racket involving US kids

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and CBI received information regarding a 35 year old man from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on charges of running an online child abuse and sex racket from India which targets minors who are living in the United States.

The suspect Niyaz Ahmed Mir, would upload pornographic videos and images over the infamous dark web for earning money. The dark web is an online webiste which cannot be accessed easily where the viewer can view illegal videos, images, buy illegal products etc. The suspect would involve in direct communication with many minors across the United States.

The suspect and his US-based wife, Tamara Stanley were allegedly running this racket together. The wife was also involved in a “master-slave relationship” with her husband according to sources.

With the help of Mir’s directions, she would exploit minors by recording the abuses and sending them to her husband through multimedia messages and emails, according to police officials.

Production of child pornography is punishable by a mandatory 15 years minimum in prison and can last up to 30 years of prison.

Stanley was previously arrested on June 25 in an ongoing cyber crime probe. She was also arrested for sexually exploiting and underage teenage girl. She is currently lodged at the federal detention center at SeaTac, Washington and is currently being investigated by the FBI for her husband’s crimes.
