The former Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi over complaints of chest pain on Sunday evening.
Singh was admitted to the hospital at around 08:45 PM.
The reports further suggest that he is under observation in the cardio-thoracic ward in the hospital.
The senior Congress leader has also been investigated for the presence of fever and other complications at the moment.
Singh was operated on by a team of doctors led by cardiovascular thoracic surgeon and vice-chairman of Asian Heart Institute, Dr Ramakanta Panda in 2009. He was then operated for redo cardiac bypass surgery. Since then, the former PM of India has been leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
The former PM has already undergone 5 bypass surgeries, the earlier one conducted in 1990. He has also got the stenting procedure done in 2004.
Singh served as the PM of India between 2004 and 2014 and is now the senior leader in Congress representing Rajasthan in the Upper House of Parliaments.
