Accord on Intellectual Property Rights with US has been cleared by India

The approval of a plan in order to sign an initial pact on the intellectual property rights withe the United States has been signed by the cabinet of India, as said by a government minister, few days prior to the visit made by the President of the United States Donald Trump to India.

India has been urged since long by the United States in order to strengthen the protection for the intellectual property and also has been a cause for the friction that has been caused on top of the disputes due to trade between the two countries of India and the United States.

Prakash Javadekar who is the minister of Information and Broadcasting has said that the approval for an MoU with the United States has been secured at the cabinet meeting which has been presided over by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
