The smuggling of gold has become topnews, as some passengers were caught while transporting yellow metal in their private parts, inside the lingerie and in their luggage, recently a cabin crew of Air India was detained in Jeddah allegedly for carrying gold and money.

A man was caught at Mumbai airport, while smuggling gold worth of worth Rs. 1.99 crore, when he was trying to transport in a waste basin flapper assembly of two rear toilets of a Jet Airways flight arrived in from Muscut.

The Air Intelligence Unit officers suspected Segu Naina Mohamed and asked about the incident, he admitted that the gold concealment in the flight is carrying out by him in Flight 9W-539. According to the media reports, he informed that the bulk quantity of gold would be retrieved at Kolkata. The officials arrested him and will be produced in court for a further step in the case.
