A farmer reportedly attempted suicide in front of a Union Minister of State in Patna. The Ryot was demanding compensation for his land acquired by the state government. The incident, when Union minister of State for Rural Development and Drinking water Ramkripal Yadav reached the venue of protest by farmers for past six days, a farmer who lost his land to the state government for Industrial park attempted suicide.

Following the incident in Bihta sub-division of Patna district, the Minister asked Patna District Magistrate Abhay Kumar Singh to arrange all the compensation at the earliest time. The farmer allegedly climbed a tree and threatened to commit suicide.
