SRK’s detention unfortunate: Yale Univ

Yale University has expressed its grief over the detention of Bollywood actor, Shahrukh Khan at an airport in New York.  The university, which has released a note over the same this morning, termed the incident as extremely unfortunate.  The university international affairs secretary, George Joseph said, it was not important as to how the matter started but how it ended. He felt happy that everything went well and the climax was a happy one even if not the beginning. He has also said that Sharukh Khan’s tour to Yale University would remain as one of the sweetest memories.

It may be recalled that Shahrukh Khan was detained at an airport in New York when he arrived there to address students at Yale University.  It took up to two hours for the immigration officials to set Shahrukh Khan free after the enquiry and verification. Later, the responsible department wrote a letter to the Indian Embassy and tendered apology for the detention. The external affairs minister, S M Krishna, however, asked the Indian ambassador to US, Nirupama Rao to take up the matter seriously.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Irfan Khan also came up with statements that he was also detained at the US airports couple of times.
