Indian-Origin Man Convicted in A Rape Case in LondonNRI Top Stories

An Indian-origin man has been convicted in a rape case pending since 2013 in unimaginable way. Actually the man committed rape on woman in Britain May 2013, where he also beaten the woman on her head with a brick. After attacking on for two hours the accused Sandhu fled away, and he remained as untraced.

But, in October 2014, Sandhu was arrested for drunken and disorderly behavior. At that time he was required to give a DNA sample. The DNA sample matched with that has collected from the May 26, 2013 incident.

Prosecutor Richard Thatcher told the jury: "He attacked her -- punching her repeatedly on the face, striking her with a brick, knocking her unconscious for a period of time and, in the midst of the violent attack, raping her."

The woman, who was then a prostitute, has been paid 20 pounds (nearly $30) to perform a sexual act by the convicted. But the cruel act came on to light after he was caught in a different case.
