Al Ain Career Fair 2013 opens up...

Al Ain Career Fair opens in April 2013 where dozens of private and public organisations are expected to take part in the Fifth Al Ain Education and Career Fair to assist qualified Emirati graduates in their hunt for jobs, career development and advanced education opportunities.

According to the organisers, the three-day fair which is scheduled to be held between April 22 to 24, will be inaugurated by Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, at the Al Ain Convention Centre.

While Khurram Saeed, exhibition director, said the fair had been set up to bring the spotlight on Emirati job-seekers, fresh graduates and school-leavers seeking to enhance their professional skills or looking for career opportunities.

The companies participating in the fair include Mubadala, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) along with a number of the region’s leading companies including Etihad Airways, Etihad Rail and Senaat. Saeed said the presence of organisations from various sectors, such as aviation, oil and gas, and telecommunications would offer wide opportunities to Emirati job seekers.

Moreover, Khurram Saeed also added that this event provides young job seekers with the platform they need to connect with employers and identify potential career opportunities and that the support of these organisations is essential to the development of the UAE, especially when the unemployment rate among Emiratis is between 15-20 per cent.

On the other hand, he continued saying that companies looking to strengthen their workforce will be able to meet the country’s finest graduates.

Saeed said school leavers would also have a chance to meet some of the country’s leading higher education institutions such as Al Ain University, Berkeley Middle East, Khalifa University, New York Institute of Technology, and the University of Sharjah which will genuinely provide young Emiratis with a number of options that will allow them to develop their skills in a professional field.

As a concluding fact, the fair is supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE University and Higher Colleges of Technology.

After all, a respectable job education is vital as much as much as acquiring a good education.

In fact, good education and a respectable job go hand in hand!
