Accenture India, a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, will join other global firms by scraping ‘once a year’ performance reviews and rankings.
The company will shift from ‘once a year’ performance review to intermittent engagement and discussions about growth and performance. Accenture, which follows September-August fiscal year, is looking to implement this in FY16 across the company.
According to the spokesperson of the company, "Accenture is on a journey to redefine performance management in order to strengthen how we develop and grow our people.”
By changing to the new approach of 'performance achievement', the company looks ahead for conversations about setting precedence besides generating career opportunities.
The company is shifting to a new 'performance achievement' approach that includes real-time, forward-looking conversations about setting precedence and creating career opportunities. Accenture employs 336,000 people across the globe, whereas 100,000 in India. Through the new system, the company looks to concentrate on talent and achievements of each employee.
A spokesperson said, "Our leaders will spend more time coaching and talking with employees. Performance achievement provides a holistic view of performance and potential that will inform the talent decisions that we make, such as rewards and career progression.”
