Just days after posters of Rahul Gandhi ‘Missing’, did the rounds in his constituency Amethi, posters of Lal Krishna Advani aka LK Advani appeared in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, claiming that the senior Bharatiya Janta Party leader went missing and those who will find will be rewarded suitably.
The posters bore the signature of AAP. But the convener of Gujarat unit of Aam Aadmi Party, Sukhdev Patel denied the allegations and said that anti-Advani camp within BJP could be behind the prank.
However, the BJP is equally condemning that the internal rifts caused the action.
The posters say in Hindi: "MP from Gandhinagar L K Advani is missing for the last few years. We all residents of Gandhinagar have never seen him in the city. We all want to meet him and tell him about our problems. If any one of you found him in Gandhinagar, please inform us...Regards... AAP-Gandhinagar."
"Our volunteers in Gandhinagar learnt about these posters only after media drew our attention to them. AAP is not involved in such acts. It is not our way of working. It can be the work of BJP dissidents, who cannot express their unhappiness on the party forum," Patel said.
Talking about this, a resident said that after winning the elections, Advaniji does not meet any of us residents. Everyone talks about development, but after the elections, no work gets done.
Advani went to isolation after Narendra Modi was made chief of the campaign committee of BJP before the 2014 elections.
Advani has been elected to the Lok Sabha from Gandhinagar six times. BJP leaders denied that anyone from the party could be behind the posters.
