A suspected burglar was found sleeping naked at a couple's home. The burglar had helped himself to a fizzy drink from the fridge and went off to sleep in the master bedroom.

Freddy Shelby is alleged to have entered into the property of a gated community and made himself comfortable at the home of a couple.

Shelby stands accused for breaking into a couple's home and falling asleep in the master bedroom after drinking Sprite. The homeowners found Shelby sound asleep and stark naked in their bed, according to the police.

Only when the police ripped away his blankets that the alleged intruder woke up.

Shelby, who is a resident of Albuquerque, in New Mexico, allegedly broke into the house through a kitchen window.

The 30-year-old burglary suspect was taken into custody on Sunday after the couple informed police of an unwanted guest at their home.

The criminal complaint record says Shelby broke into the household and helped himself to a Sprite from the couple's refrigerator before falling asleep in their master bedroom. As per record the couple found the burglar sleeping stark naked and alerted the police.

Interestingly, when officers awoke Shelby the burglary suspect said that he thought he was at his girlfriend’s house.

Shelby has been booked under charges of breaking and entering into the couple's home.
