Did you think that looks define your character. You could not be more wrong. A 30-year-old man has been arrested by Californian authorities for firearms offence. But modelling agencies are falling over each other to sign a deal with him after his looks seems to have made women, all over the world, swoon over him.

Jeremy Meeks, from Californian city of Stockton, has been dubbed the world's most handsome crook. Reports suggest that Jeremy could get modelling contracts up to $30k a month as agencies are clamouring to do business with him.

Meeks seems to have won over the hearts of women across the world following a Facebook post of his mugshot by police. Police has arrested him for firearms offences, while targeting gang behaviour in Stockton.

The mugshot went viral and was liked more than 40,000 times (mostly women) on facebook. According to officials, he is one of the most violent criminals in Stockton region. Meeks has a bail bond of $900,000 before his next court appearance scheduled for this Friday.

His chiselled features and blue eyes has grabbed lots of attention on Facebook page. This is the first time that a mugshot has grabbed so much attention since cops set up a Facebook page two years ago.

An agency named Blaze Modelz reportedly said it could get deals for Meeks with high-end fashion houses like Versace and Armani. And the cool-looking criminal could earn anything between $15 to $30K a month.

Meeks' face tattoos, including a tear drop tattoo under his left eye, was described as "edgy and sexy by the agency.

Likewise another agency said that it would also like to sign a deal with Meeks.

Meeks' mother Katherine Angier is trying to fund his bail amount through Facebook donations. She has set up a GoFundMe page targeting $25k to 'help him get a fair trial'. Katherine says her son is not affiliated to any gang. He was just on his way to work when cops arrested him.

Katherine's page has been shared 24,000 times till now, raising $3,500 so far. The donors are mostly anonymous sympathisers. Ms Angier also shared two pictures of Meeks holding a young boy, presumed to be his son.

Katherine Angier feels that her son would be stereotyped due to his tattoos. The mother says her son is very sweet and urges people to help him get a fair trial.
