In a bizzare incident, two burglars dial 911 by mistake while committing the crime in Minnesota. The pair left the line open and discussed the burglary leading to their arrest.

The dispatcher overheard the conversation between the two burglars on April 1. The duo have been identified as 32-year-old Todd Weiss from Minnetonka and 38-year-old Justin Evans.

He first received a call and hang-up from the burglars, said Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell. Then another call connected the dispatcher to the pair that stayed open. The dispatcher got to know the location of the pair, which was a car-repair shop.

The burglars were discussing the location of the police in their conversation, according to the dispatcher. They were using the emergency-call feature of the phone.

Prompt action by the officers led to the arrest of the two burglars when they were leaving the building. The pair was wearing dark clothes and one of them was holding a television, while the other carried a box.

On seeing the police, they dropped their booty and fled. But the police dogs helped to nab the duo. Todd Weiss and Justin Evans have been charged with third-degree burglary.
