The first look of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in the film 'Ant-Man' is out. Rudd will play the lead role of Scott Lang in the upcoming film by Marvel Studios.
The project will go on the floor this week at Marvel Studios in San Francisco.
The first image of Scott (Paul Rudd) in the film is surprisingly casual. Rudd's low-key image showed him wearing a hoodie. He look very different from the other Marvel heroes like Thor or Captain America or Tony Stark.
The casual look was meant to give credence to Lang’s origins in the film as a thief. His character is brought on by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) for a robbery to reclaim stolen technology. Still we feel he should have shaved before the first publicity photo.
Initially, the movie was scheduled to start filming earlier this summer. But things had to be rescheduled after the departure of director Edgar Wright and his replacement by Peyton Reed.
'Ant-Man' also features John Slattery, Corey Stoll and Evangeline Lilly. Slattery will reprise his role of Howard Stark (Iron Man’s father).
Besides San Francisco, the film will also be shot in Atlanta.
Ant-Man will be released on July 17, 2015.
