The first trailer of Nicolas Cage's 'Left Behind' is out. Nicolas Cage prevents a plummeting plane from crash-landing in the first full trailer of 'Left Behind'.

The trailer shows Cage saving a plane from crash-landing in the Apocalypse thriller based on the best-selling book series.

Cage, who plays the amazingly named Rayford Steele, sidcovers that he (a pilot) and his daughter (played by Cassi Thomson) are among the select few survivors on Earth. To the surprise of the survivors, most of the population has mysteriously vanished.

In a crutial scene, Rayford forces open a cockpit door in mid-flight and finds the pilots missing. He takes control of the plane following the disappearance of the pilots in the end-of-days thriller.

The film also stars Chad Michael Murray, Quinton Aaron, Lea Thompson and Jordin Sparks.

Directed Vic Armstrong helmed the film that is based on the best-selling series 'Left Behind'.

Left Behind will release on October 3.
