Daniel Radcliffe is all set to star in the film 'Brooklyn Bridge'. Radcliffe will enact the character of civil engineer Washington Roebling, the man who was instrumental in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The 24-year-old actor was considered to be perfect for Roebling's role said producer Christine Vachon. According to Vachon, Radcliffe is one of the few actors who draws a huge audience, that too of all ages, reported the BBC. The producer also said that working with director Douglas McGrath, with his extraordinary script, together with Radcliff would be a rare business treat.

It took 14 years to build the Brooklyn Bridge at a cost of 15 million dollars and 20 lives. Washington Roebling had suffered decompression sickness while supervising the construction of the underwater supports of the structure.
