The most awaited music event of the year, the MTV Video Music Awards kicked off with a cracker of a medley by Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Jessie J, the trio collaborating for their hit “Bang Bang”, but things took a super awkward turn when Nicki suffered a wardrobe malfunction and how.

While Grande opened the event with her brand new single “Break Free”, it was Nicki who got all attention as she butt-ed on the stage, belting out her new tune“Ananconda” wearing a glittery green bra top and matching hot pants.

But things went rather horribly wrong for her when she changed her tropical safari outfit into a little black dress, off camera, for her next rap. Much to her horror, the zipper of her performance ensemble had ripped.

The audacious singer, currently in news for her booty-baring attempt, rapped the rest of the number clutching her crotch and cleavage, and making the world wonder what the hell on earth was she trying to cover up.

While Ariana and Jessie J both looked and sounded awesome, Nicki Minaj was left fazed by her little black dress splitting wide open during the event.
