Another long-distance relationship goes kaput now. That's right, folks! Meg Ryan has split from her boyfriend of three year,s John Mellencamp, citing that distance was making their hearts grow more distant.

For all who didn't know, the 52-year-old Meg stays in New York, the 62-year-old rocker lives in Indiana.

Meg-John became quite a dish after the rocker split from his wife, Elaine Irwin in 2010.

Although both led very, very private lives and were hardly caught together, the twosome were at times spotted strolling down Martha's Vineyard, enjoying a cup of coffee or running errands in New York's SoHo neighborhood.

With both single again, they are focusing solely on their upcoming projects for now.

While Mellencamp is gearing up to launch is 22nd album “Plain Spoken” in november, Ryan is busy directing “Ithaca” a World War II drama starring Tom Hanks in the lead.
