Apple Oats Payasam

Ingredients   

Oats (Rolled/Quick) - 1 cup

Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp

Nutmeg powder -1/4 tsp

Sugar - 2 tblsp

Milk – 200ml

Apple - 1 (chopped into small pieces/grated)

Water - 1 cup 

Procedure

Take a small bowl with one cup of water, add the chopped apple pieces, and make it boil for 5 minutes. Now add the oats, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, sugar and elachi for the boiling water for 5 minutes or till it becomes nice and creamy mixture.

Add the milk and to the creamy mixture and stir it continuously for one more minute. Add more water if needed. You can also add powder of badam and cashew for better taste and health. This can be served as breakfast or snack item.

This yummy food gives the taste better than that of payasam.You can add finely chopped dates, dried cherried or tutty fruity instead of the apples for a different flavour.
