Summer - the season of rich, ripe mangoes is here. And what better way to enjoy the summer abundance than add them to your daily meals, maybe as salads, accompaniments, curries, desserts or plain aperitifs. This veritable fruit makes for a luscious addition to anything and everything you care to add it to. Today we bring you the recipe of Mango Lassi - a classic Indian smoothie made with yogurt and ripe mangoes. Fragrant and sweet, you can have this aperitif as an afternoon refresher or after-dinner treat. A great, tasty way to wash down your gullet post a fiery Indian meal. Check out the recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup chopped peeled mango
1/3 cup peach sorbet
1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup orange juice
1/8 teaspoon orange-flower water
Instructions
Take all the ingredients in a blender. Pulse twice, stir well, and blend till smooth. Serve chilled.
