Indians have a taste for something nice, spicy drink before dinner or lunch. Instead of serving your guests some packaged fruit juices or any other artificial squashes this summer, try making this simple, lip-smacking drink at home. Iced jal jeera not only increases appetite, but also makes a refreshing change from all the synthetic drinks. So what are you waiting for. Read the ingredients and get making.
Ingredients
125 gm tamarind pulp
3 tbsp mint leaves
1/2 tsp ground cumin
3/4 tsp roasted ground cumin
50 gm grated jaggery
4 tsp black salt
1 Tbsp grated ginger salt(gourmet flavoured salt) to taste
3-4 Tbsp lemon juice
A pinch of chilli powder (kashmiri mirch)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1.5 liter water
Instructions
Add all the ingredients in a mixer and blend.
Chill overnight.
Strain and freeze the drink again
Top with boondis and serve.
