Ashutosh Gowariker is known to make films keeping the hero in mind. All his films has actors who are just right for the character they portray.

The noted filmmaker had plans to make 'Mohenjo Daro' with Hrithik Roshan as his lead hero. But he had to wait for three years before Hrithik agreed to do 'Mohenjo Daro' with him.

Gowariker is directing the film, which he is jointly producing with Disney.

'Mohenjo Daro' is a love story based in the historical period of Indus Valley civilisation.

Ashutosh Gowariker says waiting for an actor to agree to do his movie is an individual choice, interest and ability to keep pursuing. Gowariker says he needed Aamir Khan for  'Lagaan' and Hrithik Roshan for  'Jodha Akbar'.

Without Shah Rukh Khan he could not have made 'Swades' or 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' would have been impossible without Abhishek. So waiting three years for Hrithik was natural, says Gowariker.

Pooja Hegde, who will make her debut into bollywood with 'Mohenjo Daro', will play the female lead opposite Hrithik.

The character of the lead lady needed a new fresh face so he roped in Pooja, says the 50-year-old director.

Shooting for the film will start this November.
