Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son and actor Abhishek have got new trouble in an accidental insult to the National flag. The incident took place when Big B and celebrating the India’s victory over Pakistan on February 15, the star has covered his back and shoulders with the Indian Tricolour flag and waved it to his friends.
The complainant, Chetan Dhiman, who reportedly associated with an NGO called Mitr, on April 23, requested the magistrate to file a case against him with the help of video clips and photographs.
Abhishek Bachchan, son of Amitabh, also involved in the similar case, when he celebrated the victory of India on April 2, 2011 (During World Cup matches plyed in Indian sub continent).
A judicial magistrate's court has registered a complaint case against Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek for allegedly insulting Indian national flag. The particular case has been registered on Wednesday under section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 and Flag Code of India, 2002.
Ghaziabad Judicial Magistrate Dhirendra Singh in his order asked the complainant to appear before the court on July 13 for recording of his statement under section 200 of the CrPC.
