The Bombay High Court has ordered the city police not to arrest the Boolywood actress Deepika Padukone over the participation in controversial AIB Roast. Now the Ramlila actress cannot be arrested till March 16, according to the order by a bench consisting of justice Ranjit More and justice Anuja Prabhudessai.
The next hearing falls on March 16, On the day the court will decide on the judgement in relation to the case. Deepika has filed two petitions, seeking dismissal of two FIRs, filed one in Pune and the second in Mumbai’s Tardeo PS last year. The actress’ lawyer Ameet Nayak argued before the HC that Padukone has not taken part in the show, she just taken seat in audience wing.
The similar relief was granted to Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, who are accused on the same grounds of using the obsessive words in the show.
