Matinee idol, Shah Rukh Khan has proved that it pays to be the “Baadshah of Bollywood.” With a whopping fortune of 600 million dollars, SRK is laughing all the way to the bank as well as Wealth-X list of richest stars in the world. The lone Indian star to make it to the list of world's top 10 wealthiest stars — Hollywood and Bollywood combined — his celebrity worth is humungous enough to outearn tinseltown bigwigs.

Shah Rukh has been named as the second richest actor in the world, next to the 60-year-old funnyman Jerry Seinfeld who boasts of an astronomical wealth of 820 million dollars. With  more than 50 Bollywood films, a glittering 20-year career, a flourishing production house, an IPL cricket team, slucrative brand endorsement deals with Pepsi, Nokia and TAG Heur and homes in Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai and London, it's not very surprising to see the King Khan make it to the rich list.

The survey, conducted by Singapore-based Wealth-X ranks Tom Cruise right below SRK, with an estimated wealth of 480 million dollars. Johnny Depp and Tyler Perry ranked fourth at 450 million dollars each.

Besides the top shots, the list also includes a gamut of other Hollywood hotshots like Jack Nicholson ($400 million), Tom Hanks ($390 million), Clint Eastwood ($370 million), Bill Cosby ($380 million) and Adam Sandler ($340 million).

Wealth X said "Khan is estimated to be worth $600 million. Immensely popular around the globe as well as in his home country, India, Khan is also a producer, TV host, co-owner of an Indian cricket club and a philanthropist. He has appeared in more than 50 Bollywood films and is a regular at the annual Cannes Film Festival".
