Narendra Modi launches Rs 56000 Cr worth projects in Telangana

Today, in Adilabad, Telangana, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled and inaugurated various development projects in the power, rail, and road sectors. These projects, valued at over Rs 56,000 crores, are not only significant for Telangana but also for the entire nation. In his address to the audience, the Prime Minister highlighted that Adilabad is witnessing a remarkable transformation with the commencement of more than 30 development projects. These projects, focused on energy, sustainability, and road connectivity, are either being dedicated to the nation or their foundations stones are being laid today.

Acknowledging the partnership between the Central Government and Telangana, the Prime Minister emphasized their commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the people. He also announced the inauguration of the 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2, which will further enhance Telangana's electricity generation capacity. This collaboration aims to propel the state's progress and ensure a better future for its citizens.

Adilabad, Bela, and Mulugu. The Prime Minister emphasized that these modern transportation projects will not only boost the development of Telangana and the surrounding area, but also decrease travel time, promote tourism, and create numerous job opportunities. The Prime Minister restated the importance of state development in the overall progress of the nation. He explained that a stronger economy leads to increased trust in the country, which in turn attracts investment to the states. He mentioned the global recognition of India's remarkable economic growth rate of 8.4 percent in the last quarter, making it the only major economy to achieve such growth. The Prime Minister confidently stated that India's rapid progress will soon place it as the world's third-largest economy, benefiting the economy of Telangana as well.

Reflecting on the past neglect of regions like Telangana, the Prime Minister highlighted the recent improvements in governance. By pointing out the increased allocation of resources for the state's development over the past decade, he emphasized that development means uplifting the most vulnerable segments of society, including the poor, Dalits, tribals, and marginalized individuals.

The Prime Minister highlighted that over 250 million individuals have been lifted out of poverty, attributing this success to the government's social welfare programs for the underprivileged. In closing, the Prime Minister emphasized that these initiatives will be expanded even more in the upcoming five years. The event was attended by Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, Shri Revantha Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, and Shri G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister.
