In a disturbing incident, a 39-year-old female entrepreneur from Bengaluru has been accused of killing her four-year-old son in North Goa and transporting his body back to Karnataka in a bag. The suspect, identified as Suchana Seth, had vacated her service apartment in Candolim, North Goa, on Monday morning. Following the discovery of a bloodstain by a housekeeping staff member, the Goa police were immediately notified. Seth had already returned to Karnataka and was apprehended at the Aimangala police station in Chitradurga district upon receiving an alert from the Goa police. On Monday evening, a team from the Calangute police station was dispatched to Karnataka to take custody of Seth and bring her back to Goa under a transit remand.

Inspector Paresh Naik of the Calangute police station stated that the 39-year-old founder and CEO of Mindful AI, an artificial intelligence startup, had provided a Bengaluru address when she checked into room 404 at Hotel Sol Banyan Grande on Saturday. Seth had made the room reservation through AirBnB and requested a late-night checkout on January 7-8. A hotel employee mentioned that Seth had requested a taxi to return to Bengaluru.

Despite a suggestion from a hotel staffer that flying back would be more efficient, the person in question persisted in their desire for a taxi. Eventually, the hotel arranged for a local taxi to pick them up. North Goa SP, Nidhin Valsan, reported that the police team arrived at the hotel around 11 am after being notified about a bloodstain. After examining the CCTV footage, they discovered that the individual, Seth, allegedly left the service apartment without her son. When questioned by Naik, the taxi driver, Seth claimed to have left her son at a friend's house in Fatorda and provided details about the location.

However, it was later discovered that the address she gave was false. Naik then called the taxi driver again and discreetly instructed him to visit a nearby police station without Seth's knowledge. By that time, the taxi had already reached the Chitradurga district. Following Naik's guidance, the taxi driver drove to the Aimangala police station without arousing any suspicion from Seth. Upon arrival, a police officer searched the car and discovered the child's body in a bag.

Although the motive behind the homicide remains unknown, Naik's instincts regarding the body were proven accurate. A member of the investigation team shared that the child's body has been dispatched for a post-mortem examination.
