The crime rate in the national capital is creating tremors all over the country. Even after the Nirbhaya Act and rigorous punishments were applicable to the culprit once convicted, the rapes continue in the country and at the national capital this is a nightmare for any girl/women to walk out alone.

A 13-year-old teenage girl was raped inside an auto in north Delhi’s Burari on Sunday. The victim was went to her friend's residence, which is in the neighbourhood on June 8th at around 7:30 PM, according to police. The teenage friend, who was familiar with the defendant asked him to drop her friend at her house in his three-wheeler. As per police, both the girls went for a round and one of the girls got down after coming back. Later Auto River took the victim to an isolated area and raped her inside the auto.

A case was registered based on the girl's statement under the sections 376(rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and Protection of Children from sexual offences act. The culprit was arrested and his auto was seized. The girl took for medical examination and the investigation is under process.
