The two well-known telecom operators Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel to increase their mobile service charges from December 1st in order to compensate for their quarterly loss of Rs 74,000 crore both put together.

Additionally, when we separately look at the losses of both the operators. Vodafone is at a loss of Rs. 50,921 crore and Bharti Airtel at 23,045 crores. Among the Indian Corporate companies, Vodafone is at the highest loss.

Last month, the Supreme Court through the Government asked the telecom companies Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel to pay the amount due to the Department of Telecom.

On Monday, Vodafone made this announcement followed by Airtel after a few hours. Having said, both the companies haven’t mentioned how much more they are going to charge. Vodafone said it took this decision so that customers get a world-class digital experience.

To get acquainted with the changes in the digital world and the fact that telecom industries require sufficient money for investment, the telecom operators have to take this step. Besides, in India, mobile data charges are the most reasonable and there is a scope for growth.

The Government and all the stakeholders of the telecom sector will closely look into this and provide assistance to these companies.
