A day Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formally announced an alliance with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, it will now most likely to announce a tie-up in Tamil Nadu with AIADMK.

Union Minister and party’s State-in-Charge Piyush Goyal will fly down to Chennai today to announce an alliance with ruling party All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

Going by reports, AIADMK and BJP may also include smaller parties like Anbumani Ramadoss’s Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and Vijayakanth's Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK).

Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently visited Tamil Nadu and met AIADMK party officials and held discussions to finalise the seat-sharing. During his visit he also said to the media that the good news regarding alliance will be announced at appropriate time.

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) also said that party has been holding talks with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK)

According to report in The Indian Express, AIADMK may contest in 25 lok sabha seats and remaining 15 seats will be shared among BJP and other parties.

The Key opposition party MK Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has already formed coalition with Congress, Left parties, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and Vaiko’s Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK).

Almost all opinion polls are predicting DMK party’s increase in seat share. So, AIADMK wants to ally with other parties.

BJP on other hand is hoping to increase its presence in southern state.

Yesterday, BJP and Shiv Sena in Joint Press Conference announced that they will fight Lok Sabha elections together in 25-23 seats respectively.
