Kerala Floods: Nipah Virus Victim Nurse Lini's Spouse Donates First Salary to Flood Victims

God's own country - Kerala's situation is grave. Galore people have been affected by the ongoing floods, which have resulted in a loss of life and property. People are stranded and rescue operations are afoot.

Individuals from all around the world donating and aiding those caught in the floods. Another individual hoping to help is the husband of late Kerala nurse, Lini Puthussery, who died after catching the Nipah virus.

According to a report by newspaper India Times, "Sajeesh, who had recently joined as a lower divisional clerk has donated his first salary to Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMRDF)."

He gave his contribution by meeting Kerala Minister for Labour and Excise, TP Ramakrishnan.

The news which went viral on social media platforms received many applauds for his kind gesture.

Indian journalist @ArunodayM called the family "Real heroes!"

One of the journalists called it as "inspiring", while tweet @subbusurya named it a "Truly selfless gesture!"

The floods have claimed more than 300 lives till now. There is a shortage of food and safe drinking water, and people are struggling to find a safe spot.
