Indian Market woes Indian American Publishers to acquire TV Channel

A prominent publishing group Parikh World Media (PWM) belonging to the Indo-Americans, have acquired ITV Glod Cable TV Channel, with plans to enter into the Indian Media Market.

Chairman of PWM Mr.Sudhir Parikh announced about the acquisition that took place in the New York on Thursday, he said that, they will have tie ups, with digital platforms in India, to penetrate ITV gold before we enter the cable markets with informative news programs, and shows that will have a huge impact in the Indian Media Market and also their issues in the United States.

The PWM Company made its statement, in a report that with the acquisition of ITV Gold, PWM now has its presence in print, online and electronic media, which is emerging to be premiere Indo-American Media House.

The International Television Broadcasting (ITV), which was launched in the year 1985, recognized as 24A-7 cable TV channel in the United States, to deliver news about India, Indian-Americans, and South Asians, according to PWM news release.

The portfolio of ITV Gold, also has vision of Asia that was initiated in the year 1976, which was widely known as the longest running Indo-American TV programs in the United States.

PWM is primarily headquartered, in the New York City, publishing four weekly news papers, the national publication, News India Times; two regional publications from New York and Chicago, Desi Talk and the Gujarati Language, Gujarat Times and an online magazine, Indian American.

Deepak Vishwanath, son of ITV Gold’s late founder Banad Viswanath, said that

“This partnership combines the strength of two well established and respected Indian American Media. It is a launching pad to expand the channel on new platforms across the US.”
